Welcome to The First Baptist Church of Burlington.
What should I expect in your Worship Service?
Our service begins at 10:00 am and ends approximately at 11:00 each Sunday. We sing old time favorite hymns as well as today’s popular contemporary Christian songs led by our worship band.
How should I dress?
Wear whatever you are comfortable to you. Many members dress in business attire; however you will also see members dressed in jeans, sweatshirts and shorts in the summer. It’s not what's on the outside that matters but rather the inside.
What do you have for my children?
We have Sunday school classes for all ages. All classes are based on age/grade. During our worship hour we have available a nursery from new born to five years of age and Jr. Church from six years old and up.
However if your child wishes to attend church that is fine, many children are happy staying with their family.
Am I expected to give a donation?
We do take an offering during our service each Sunday. This is one way we worship God, by cheerfully giving back a portion of what the Lord has blessed us with. We do not expect visitors to give but if you feel led to, you may
What version of the Bible do you use?
The NIV Bible is what many in our congregation use and the version our pastor preaches from. However we do not believe one version is more correct then another. It is just a personal choice.
What happens when I fill out a visitor’s card?
We like to know who you are. If you would like someone from our church to contact you, please fill out a visitor’s card and place it in the offering plate when it passes by and let us know you would like to be contacted.
We will not show up at your door without an invite.
